Everyone should be prepared and up to date with life-saving skills like CPR and AED usage. Montgomery County CERT offers free Hands-only CPR/AED Classes taught by AHA professional instructors.

Frequently Asked Questions about CPR/AED Training


Who can participate? What does it cost?

  • Our Hands-only CPR /AED class is open to all residents of the county who are at least 18 years of age.
  • All training classes sponsored by Montgomery CERT, are offered at no cost to the participant.
  • We only ask that you come with a desire to learn. Please note, we do not offer certificates of completion for these classes.

When is your next class?

We offer CPR/AED training as part of our regularly scheduled CERT Basic Classes (held in the Spring and Fall).  We also offer Hands-only CPR/AED classes as our schedule permits. All classes are open to the public.

How do I sign up?

  • Montgomery CERT uses Eventbrite for class registrations for all public classes. When a class becomes available, it will show up on our website and through Eventbrite.
  • Please follow Montgomery County CERT on Eventbrite to get notified when a training is posted. Simply click on the “register” link on the event page to sign up.

What if I need a specific CPR Certification for work?

There are many organizations in the area that offer CPR certification courses for a modest fee.  Some options may include:
