Frequently Asked Questions about CPR/AED Training
Who can participate? What does it cost?
- Our Hands-only CPR /AED class is open to all residents of the county who are at least 18 years of age.
- All training classes sponsored by Montgomery CERT, are offered at no cost to the participant.
- We only ask that you come with a desire to learn. Please note, we do not offer certificates of completion for these classes.
When is your next class?
We offer CPR/AED training as part of our regularly scheduled CERT Basic Classes (held in the Spring and Fall). We also offer Hands-only CPR/AED classes as our schedule permits. All classes are open to the public.
How do I sign up?
- Montgomery CERT uses Eventbrite for class registrations for all public classes. When a class becomes available, it will show up on our website and through Eventbrite.
- Please follow Montgomery County CERT on Eventbrite to get notified when a training is posted. Simply click on the “register” link on the event page to sign up.
What if I need a specific CPR Certification for work?
There are many organizations in the area that offer CPR certification courses for a modest fee. Some options may include:

Can I hire you to teach a class? How do I sponsor a training?
If you are a non-profit community organization and wish to inquire about CPR and other offerings, please send an email to Registrar@montgomerycert.org.
Please tell us a bit about your organization and the number of people you need trained. Please note, off-site classes are limited to no more than 20. All classes are for adults only.

Friends and Family Hands-only CPR and AED Class

Learn to recognize cardiac arrest, activate emergency medical services, and respond appropriately until additional assistance arrives.
This class is offered free to Montgomery County Residents. To participate in this training, you must be 15 years old or older and a resident of Montgomery County. Note: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
