Shelter Based Donations Management

Over the past year, Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security and Montgomery County CERT have been working to build a stronger relationship to benefit the County’s disaster preparedness and response efforts.

As such, OEMHS is pleased to offer a new of a kind course to its CERT’s membership- Shelter Based Donations Management. The training will teach the concept of operations for how to handle donations that flow into a shelter during an activation. Upon completing this class, volunteers will be able to sign up for shifts during a Montgomery County shelter activation to aid in donations management. Trainees will receive a certificate of accomplishment.

The first class will be offered on Thursday July 26th, 2018, from 7pm-9:30pm at Public Safety Headquarters, located at 100 Edison Park Dr., Gaithersburg, MD 20878.

Sign up in CERVIS to attend.
